Have you ever asked yourself?

  • Why God is silent and does not do anything about the wickedness here on earth? Why does he not turn all people into believers?
  • Why do we pray for God even though He is aware of what we want? Why does He not do it for us without praying?
  • Is God responsible for accidents, disasters, earthquakes, and birth defects in children?
  • If God is in control here on earth, then why is He silent?

I want to explain a biblical foundation, I call it “God’s Lease on Earth”, that will answer all of these questions.

This is a fundamental root answering all these questions and I believe it will be the answer to a tremendous amount of questions spinning in your head and confusing any believer. I would like you to read all the scriptures written here even you know it by heart and by doing this you will rely on the bible and not on the teaching of people ( Note: all of these scriptures are taken from the NIV translation and I meant that so that the translation would be easy and accurate).

“God’s Lease on Earth”

In Gen 1:26-30  Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”  (27)So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.  (28)  God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”  (29)  Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.  (30)  And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground–everything that has the breath of life in it–I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

God is the creator of the earth and mankind. He is the real owner of the earth. Let us see mankind in all of his phases:

  1. Mankind before falling in sin
  2. Mankind after falling in sin
  3. Mankind after the full redemption of Jesus (which we live it now).
  4. Mankind before falling in sin

God gave the earth to mankind (born as believers and as His children) and told him to rule over it and all that is in it. God meant-and still does till now- for the mankind to be the Lord of the earth with the authorization of God. So God gave the earth to mankind for a period of time as a lease so that Adam and his descendants would be the Lords of the earth. Psalm 115:16:” The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind”.  God wants mankind(the present believers) to be like Him on earth directly after God.

Psalm 8:4-9:” What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim he paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!”

This scripture applies to mankind meaning man (before the fall) and to the son of God, Jesus, because he became flesh like us.

  • So mankind is the Lord, the king and the ruler of the earth.
  • God is the king of mankind which means that mankind is the king here on earth and all that is in it and God is the king of kings (meaning the king of mankind).
  • Mankind is the Lord of the earth and all that is in it and God is the Lord of Lords(meaning mankind).

Now let me focus here on a very important point:

If you own 10 acres of agriculture land and you gave it to a friend as a lease for a period of time starting 2000 to 2020… during this period you are not allowed to intervene without the permission of the friend whom you gave the land to as a lease. You do not have the right to give orders:” This year, plant tomatoes because I am the owner of the land so I order you to do so.”

You do not have the right to do that because the lessee is the owner till the lease period is overdue, after 2020. After this date, you can do whatever you want with the land. So as God, He gave the earth to mankind as a lease, for a period of time, which has a beginning and an end set by God. Though God is characterized by His might, He will not use it to break His word that is He himself. So although God is characterized as omnipotent, He is also characterized for standing on His Word.

That means that God cannot do anything on the earth without the permission of mankind (and his descendants) to whom He has leased the earth because mankind is the Lord of the earth during this period. This is the reason that made Jesus ask the sick and say:” Do you want to be healed…?”

I used to wonder why God would ask this question, isn’t it obvious that the person wants to be healed?

And after that, I have discovered that God cannot do anything without our permission unlike what they used to answer me in Sunday teachings when I was little. They used to tell me;” God wants to hear our voice…” no, He needs us to give Him the permission.

This is why it is not right to pray as a lot of believers do “God please do not allow this to happen…” because it is you who allows it to happen first which prompts God to make it happen in the second place.  God does not allow problems to happen unless you do. It means that is all in your hands. Therefore, let God in instead of Satan.

Pray as follow:” God I do not allow this sickness (or infertility) that is from Satan but I allow your healing for me in Jesus Name.”  God wanted mankind to be the Lord of the earth and to be obedient to God in order to let God enter the earth officially. This means that mankind is the lord and the king of the earth and God is the Lord of Lords and king of Kings (mankind).

Before the fall, man was blessed because he was obedient to God who blesses always. God blesses and does not curse. God told them:”Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it.”

  • There was no sickness or infertility or physical weakness. Man had to eat to preserve his body.
  • There was no need for anything because God supplied every need.
  • Satan was not the prince of this world but mankind was and everything was is in it like plants, air and animals.

The relationship between God and man was an open one, from the spirit of man to the spirit of God. With no doubt, God used to meet Adam in heaven because God is a spirit and man is like God “ a spiritual being” who has a soul living in a body, so man used to worship God with his spirit.

Notice the following: man is a spiritual being and this spiritual being has a soul (not a soul on its own) living in a body (he is not that body on its own).

The tree of knowledge of good and evil was a symbol and the start of tithing. As if God is saying:” You Adam are the Lord of the earth, but I want you to let me enter the earth to bless you. Let me enter in an official way and bless you through the tithes you offer to me.”

Man used to pay his tithes to God which means that God had the permission to enter the earth with the permission of Adam to be blessed. God did not ask man not to eat from the tree to upset him but it was for his own good.

How is that so?

The answer is: There is a law in the kingdom of heaven headed by God which is found in Romans 6:16:” Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey- whether you are slaves to sin, which lead to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?” When we obey God we become slaves by choice and we become qualified and positioned to receive His blessings and we become available to God to take from Him our blessings which He ought to give us because God is love and His gifts are good.

As the Bible says in James 1:17:”Whatever is good and perfect (complete) is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” So sickness and poverty are not good and the proof for that is that we have in us the counter nature and we hate them as they are mentioned as curses in Deuteronomy 28 where God also gave us the way to avoid these curses and that is by obeying His Word so we receive all the blessings.

  1. The fall of Adam (the king)

Because Satan was in heaven before his own fall, he therefore knows the laws of heaven. He used the same law which God uses “you are slaves of the one you obey” and therefore he suggested something to Adam to do and by doing so Adam (the king) would have obeyed him and became his slave.

Note: Satan has no power over you. All he has are suggestions which he tries to infuse into your thoughts and if you allow that to happen then these thoughts will turn into a voluntary act that you will execute.

Satan does not have the power to make us do anything but he does make suggestions and try to infuse them into our thoughts. When Satan, the liar, said to Adam “that he will become like God”, Adam should have responded back then with the Word of God like Jesus did and said: “God has made me the king and the Lord here on earth. I do not allow you to deceive me and make me forget my identity and my origin. I am the Lord of the earth and of you and God is my Lord. I do not need to become like God because he has made me like Him here on earth and the proof is that He made me on His own image and has put everything under my feet including you, Satan.” But Adam did not do that. Instead, he obeyed Satan and therefore became a slave to him (according to the previous law). So Satan stole- in an illegal way- the authority that God gave to Adam. Satan became the prince of the air and earth and he controlled the world and entered death and curses into it which represent his system and his character.

Romans5:17:” For if, by the trespass of the one man, death is reigned through that one man…”

Death entered the world: the death of the body, the death of happiness, the death of everything that was blessed by God.

Important note:

Curses came upon Adam and the world not as punishment from God but because of what Adam did. Notice what God said:” Cursed is the ground because of you …” He did not say:” I curse the ground because of you…”  As if God is saying:” You did that and not me. You are the one who gave the earth to a corrupted master and because of that the curse has fell upon you, your wife and of all of the earth: volcanoes, earthquakes, and destruction because Satan is now the master…”

The nature of God is one and never changes. His nature is to bless you and this is shown in God’s first words to Abraham “I bless you and you will be a blessing…”and the tongue that blesses, does not curse. God did not dismiss Adam out of heaven as a punishment but for his own good.

So why did God dismiss him? He did that to stop Adam from eating from the tree of life and therefore stay in this unfortunate situation, slaved to a cruel master. God preferred for Adam not to eat from the tree of life so that he won’t remain long under the authority of Satan because if he remained alive in this bad situation, he would have stayed like that for 4000 years till the solution to the problem arrives that is Jesus Christ, blessed be His name.

Despite all that happened, the original lease that is in heaven still states: “The earth was given to Adam and he is its Lord” and this did not change despite the circumstances. For God, the owner of the earth, to be able to save the mankind during the lease period, He had to enter the earth officially through Adam, the lord of the earth and the lessee. This redemption was done through the anointed man, Jesus (Christ). Jesus is considered the son of the owner of the earth (God) and He also considered the son of the lessee (Adam).  For Jesus to enter the earth officially, man had to call Him and let Him enter. We see this in all the lives of the people who let the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, to give them words to utter and speak for 4000 years and these are the prophets who kept saying:” A person will come to save the world from that which man has entered to the earth and that person will be anointed from God”.

They did not only prophesy the coming of the anointed Jesus and they also allowed Him to enter the earth in an official way. John 1:14:” The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (Jesus Christ).

During this period, after the fall of Adam and Jesus becoming flesh, God made a covenant (or a contract) with man and these two parties are:

  • God: the owner of the earth
  • Man: the lessee of the earth

God gave His Word to man to obey it and therefore become a slave to God. It is not intended to tease man nor given as something to be impossible. Through this law, mentioned above, man would get out from under the hand of Satan into God’s. People who loved God used to enjoy all the blessings on earth. God wants to bless man but man has to obey His commandments so he becomes a slave to God again. These commandments are easy and not impossible and the choice is in the hands of the man to live by it or to refuse it.

Deuteronomy 28:2-3:”All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God. You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country”.

Deuteronomy 30:11: “Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach”.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20:” This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

Note that there is a condition: ”if”…

God has given us a way to avoid the curse and to receive the blessings. This is our choice and not God’s and if a curse comes upon a believer, it would be because of him for not obeying the Word and not because of God.

  1. Mankind after the redemption of Jesus

Look at the “redemption” that Jesus Christ has made for “Adam” which he had lost due to his trespass.

Romans 5:17:” For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”

The Amplified version says:” We reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ who redeemed us”. Hallelujah! The grace of God exceeds what Satan and sin did. The grace of God covers it and overcome it. Jesus came to save what has been destroyed (the authority of man on earth and everything that Satan did from curses and disasters which are the work of his hands). Jesus came to become a curse so that we, who believe in Him, may be blessed with all the blessings of Abraham: spiritual, emotional and physical blessings. Read well and meditate on Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 and Exodus 23:24-28to see the blessings that are your right in the present time. These blessings are physical, such as health, happiness, the overflow of supply to your financial needs, offspring (reproduction), peace and protection.

Deuteronomy 28:1-14:”If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them”.

Exodus 23:24-28:” 24 Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces. 25 Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. 28 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way”.

Since the Lord said in the bible, “that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us the believers now”. Then it is ours now.

Galatians 3:9:” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith”.

Galatians 3:13-14:” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ”Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole”. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles (us) through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit (the promise promised by the Spirit for us).”

Satan is still the ruler of this world because there are still some people who are allowing him to enter the earth, those who are not born again. But we (born again and children of God) rule and reign as kings through Jesus Christ who redeemed us. Romans 5:17:”For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”

We rule over our body, health, money and we enjoy God’s protection for us. We cannot rule over people but on ourselves and our properties. God has rescued us from the dominion of darkness (as He saved us from the work of darkness) and brought us into the kingdom of the Son of he loves. Colossians 1:13:” For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.” We became qualified for the inheritance (the blessings) that is for us to possess.

God does not want those who are born of Him (born again)to have any curse falling upon them because Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law (sickness, infertility, poverty, destruction, lack of protection, safety and death at an early age …) for more information about this subject read Deuteronomy 28:15-68.

There is a question asked by many: “Can a curse come upon a believer?” Yes…

This is due to the underperformance of the believer by the lack of knowledge of the “Word” despite the redemption of Jesus from curses. As the Bible says: “so a curse without cause shall not come”. Look at this verse in Proverbs 26:2:” Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight”

For these reasons curses may fall upon a believer and not because of God:

First: Lack of knowledge of the biblical truth:

The believer is destroyed for lack of knowledge Hosea 4:6-6:” My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. If a believer dies because of sickness, this is due to his ignorance and not knowing the Word. In the eyewitness, it seems that he died because of sickness but this not the truth. The truth is   that he died because he did not know what belongs to him through Jesus Christ.

Second: Wrong Knowledge:

This is the most dangerous one where the person listens to wrong and unbiblical teachings such as “God teaches you a lesson through disease and calamities” … and those teachers exploit the ignorance of the people and their lack of knowledge of the true biblical teachings which gives the devil a foothold in their lives.

We are the ones who give the devil a foothold in our life and we are the ones who prevent him from doing so. Ephesians 4:21-32:”21 When you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbour, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Third: A Gap in the life of the believer:

The believer may have knowledge but does walk in godliness (imitating God). It is notable that all blessings are conditioned not as a provocation from God to man, but for God to formally enter the life of man by man following His commandments.1Timothy 4: 8: “but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come”.

Fourth: Not knowing how to take what is for him:

A person may know what he has in Christ but does not know how to possess it. This can be tackled by learning and studying the teachings about faith which teaches how to practice his faith to get out of the problem or to receive his physical healing…

Fifth: Not walking according to what he knows:

Philippians 4:9 (NIV): “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you” That means that there are some people who know what they have in Christ and how to take it, but they do not live by it. Therefore, we must beware of blaming God for being the committer of these calamities, accidents, disasters, diseases, death, problems, or the death of our loved ones, and the birth defects that people claim being congenital but rather demonic…

These accusations made towards God are due to what we have previously accepted from wrong teachings far from the Word of God which says: that God is in control of everything on earth and this is wrong.  Satan is the ruler of this world but God is in control of the end times like what we will see at the time of the end of the earth. But before this end, God will save from darkness all those who allow Him to rule over them now in this life and they will enjoy the blessings of the Lord here on earth.

However, this does not mean that life will be trouble-free, but rather that the believer will overcome them. Some people got acquainted by repeating a verse and stopping at the half of it which is John 16:33:” I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble...but the other half says:” But take heart! I have overcome the world”.  This means you can take your healing from any physical illness and have a solution for the problems you face. It does not mean that He gives you the ability to endure your problems, because God is practical and wants to solve the problem which you are facing.

We have to be aware from saying that all the problems and curses are allowed by God. The person who says that is meaning that God can stop this thing from happening if He wants to. As if we are saying that God is behind the curse or He is the reason for all what is happening by allowing it, and there are those who grow in error and say that God is the driving force behind Satan and this is impossible because He cannot use His own enemy against his loved ones. This is all wrong cause God will never allow anything to happen unless man allows it first.

Notice the order written in the bible: The first one is the permission of man and the second one is the permission of God: Matthew 18:18:“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth (first) will be bound in heaven (second), and whatever you loose on earth (first) will be loosed in heaven (second).”

A curse does not come except because of man. When a believer is afflicted with a curse, it’s because he is no longer dwelling in the shelter of the most high, as it says in Psalm 91.God does not betray those who seek Him for protection by taking it away from them to teach them a lesson or to try them. These are not the qualities of God, but the qualities of Satan who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. Instead, Jesus came that we may have life and have it in abundance not only spiritually, but psychologically and physically as well. God does not threat our protection, but He is a shield for all those who take shelter in Him.

Often times, there are verses implying that God is the one who afflicts (such as God afflicted this person with sickness…), and many build their evidence on it that God can make people become ill or curses them. But when you carefully check, you will find that the bible is not incompatible. We read in James 1:17:” Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” Note: The original languages of the Holy Bible are Hebrew and Greek which are much deeper then Arabic and English. Therefore, each time it is mentioned in a scripture that God is behind negative things like curses, it claims that the verbs are coming in “Permissive” rather than “Causative” sense. This wording cannot be translated literally because it is wording and not literal speech.  It is more about the meaning than literal, is the spirit of the speech and not the letter of the words so translations failed to put it into correct words.

The Permissive Wording:

It means God allowed it but it isn’t God’s will which is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2). We already made it clear before that God allowed it because man allowed first.  When you read a verse in the Bible, you must read what is written before and after it and so you will find that man is the responsible one for opening a gap for Satan.

The Causative Wording:

It means God wants it and it always comes with verses that are good and filled with the love of God. Reference Young’s Hebrew and Greek concordance *

There is a verse in Corinthians which some people use and explain wrongly saying that God is the one who afflicts with disasters. 1 Corinthians 10:12-14:” So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!  No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Therefore, my dear friends flee from idolatry”.

It is also known in James 1:13 “For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone”. God treats us like Himself and never tempts us with evil, but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed, so it means that the cause of these disasters is man himself.

God cannot prevent Satan from tempting us because the earth is leased to man. When Jesus came, He defeated the devil and gave us victory, so we are the ones to stop the devil and not God. But God will stop the devil from doing something that is beyond our power of endurance.

From this, you understand that all what you go through is at the level of your endurance and not higher, even if the devil tries to convince you of your incapability to resist him be assured that God will intervene to stop Satan from doing something beyond your endurance.

You are capable of doing everything because you believe in God and all things are possible for those who practice their faith (believer= is the one who practices his faith).

To understand the scripture above, we should read it thoroughly. In the scripture, God does two things which are:

  1. God will stop the devilfrom doing anything beyond your capacity or your power of endurance (he will not forbid him as long as it is within your capacity). This does not mean that God sent the problem from the first place but as per James 1: “God cannot be tempted by evil”. In verse 14, He said: “Don’t be deceived…” this means that some will be deceived and say the opposite of this. Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire (i.e. with the permission of man).
  2. God gives you the solution to the problem which means the way to get out of it and not the power to endure the problem because God is against the problem itself and He is not the one who caused it. So in 1 Corinthians 10:13 the word “with the temptation” consists of two main matters and not as many have wrongly explained it that: “God send the temptation and provide with it the solution or the way out. No way, God doesn’t have a double personality. But the word “with” indicates: stopping the devil and giving you the way out because He loves you, He is on your side and because He didn’t send the temptation.

Is it reasonable, that God, who took away the curses of man, will afflict him again? Certainly not! Or God will then be double-minded and unstable in all his ways. This is not God.

Is it possible, that the One, who created the immunity, will afflict man with diseases against his immunity? Certainly not!

Jesus, who walked around healing people, would let them get sick because he ascended to Heaven? Certainly not! Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He still heals people and He is against the schemes of Satan (diseases).

Did Jesus not do the work of the Father such as healing, proclaiming freedom, setting the oppressed free, etc.? So why some people still say: “We don’t know God’s thoughts towards curses”. This is wrong.

God has revealed clearly this matter. We know very well God’s thoughts about this point because we saw the Father in the Son.

What did we see in Jesus? Let us go through the four bibles in order to see the Father in the Son:

  • We see that Jesus, the Son of God on earth, healed people and still wants to heal…. When he was asked: “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean”, Jesus answered: ”I am willing”.
  • He did not give anyone a disease to teach him a lesson.
  • He did not delay any healing, but healed all who touched him (those who asked and sought Him)
  • He did not cure anyone by killing him, but literally healed him of his illness, and made the blind see!!
  • He spent 2/3 of His time healing people and the 1/3 remaining teaching. So He has spent the majority of his time healing people.

Jesus came to save us from sin and its consequences (the curses). He came for a complete redemption. The meaning of salvation in Greek is “Suzu” and the verb is “Soteria”: Freedom, healing, prosperity, protection, stability and toughness.

Without a doubt, we have heard a lot about the liberation from sin and eternity but this is an incomplete gospel. As Jesus and the apostles preached, the above are the complete meanings of the bible where they healed and freed people.

An example for clarification: If you were drowning in the sea, you are at risk of dying due to several reasons such as the sharks that may be eating you, or because of the severe cold in the water, or of the ships that may grind you and because of your suffocation from water. If someone comes and saves you, he did not save you only from drowning in the water, but from all these dangers: the sharks, the ships, the cold, etc.

This is what Jesus did for you. When He redeemed you from sin, He also redeemed you from all the consequences like sickness, poverty, and all curses. We have to cut and break all the old memories that were drawn in our minds from the first fall of Adam to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We only not need to remember that we are now like Adam before the fall, but we are also like the last Adam who is Jesus Christ.1 Corinthians 15:45:”So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit”.

1 John 4:17:“This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the Day of Judgment: In this world we are like Jesus”.

After this biblical foundation, I can answer the repeated questions asked by most of the believers, whom when they are not answered in the correct way, they tend to close on themselves and blame God in their hearts even if they do not confess it with their mouths and therefore they do not know how to pray.

How can I receive my blessings?

***Notice that the only way to receive your blessings that are in Christ for you is to be born again of God. You also need to know about the blessings and how to take them***.

Do not get yourself into the spiral of curses and start questioning and searching whether this is a curse or not. Be aware that Jesus Christ has redeemed you (happened in the past) from all curses but what happens is that the devil enters into the life of the person due to the person’s lack of knowledge of the Word and what belongs to him.

When you read the Word and know what it says about you, like what we are about to read in these following scriptures, you will then take what is yours and live it. In Galatians 3:9, 13-14:” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit”.

As you can see, God did not change his mind in the New Testament regarding the curse, it is still a curse, but what he did in the New Testament is that he dealt with it. The inherited curse may happen to those who did not know the Word yet…

Jesus gave each one of us the freedom to choose how our lives would be…

The New Testament (in which we live now) explains clearly that every human being can live the wonderful life that God wants for him because every man became independent and aware of the truth and chose his life to be according to the will of God.

In the New Testament each one of us became responsible for himself/herself and this is good news because there are no more excuses anymore, for the solution is in your hands. Jeremiah 31: 29-31:”In those days people will no longer say, ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’ Instead, everyone will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes—their own teeth will be set on edge. “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah”.

Look at this story in John and see how Jesus began to draw the attention of his disciples towards the solution instead of the curse:

John 9:1-4 (KJV) And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.  (2)  And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?  (3)  Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.  (4)  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

His sin was neither individual nor inherited, but rather the work of the devil and not the hand of God as many explain this story. The work of the Father is present in the same verse which is healing him. The word “so that the work of God may be displayed” caused many to say that he was sick so the work of God may be displayed as if God made him sick to heal him later and this is totally wrong. There is no punctuation in the verse in the Greek origin, it was inserted by people. The sentence ends up at the word of “nor his parents”. Let us read the verse again:

“Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents.”(P.S. a sentence has ended and another sentence begins) “but that the works of God should be made manifest in him I must work the works of him that sent me”. The solution is to know what you have in Christ.

You might come from a family who have practiced witchcraft so do not believe the wrong teachings that tells you it is on you to break the curse of your family. You only need to know who you are and what your blessings in Christ are. You are a child of God and from his descendants and not from your physical family that had an influence on you. Just know who you are, what belongs to you and practice your authority. Satan works in the darkness like for example through ignorance, but when knowledge comes (light), he can no longer have a place in your life. Hallelujah!

You still might be asking:” How can I distinguish if the hurtful and continuous events that have fallen upon me are due to a curse or warfare?

You do not have to search much to know the difference between a curse and a warfare because they are the same. People differentiated them. In all cases, they both come from the devil and the solution is to know and take what is yours in Christ. When Satan enters your life, he brings disasters, curses, challenges or problems you are facing, a disease or it might be anything that God does not want it to happen for you (it is listed in the list of curses in the bible). All you have to do is to simply take what is yours by faith and that is healing, supply to every need of yours… (In order to know more about this subject, read The Faith and The Spoken Word articles on our website).

I repeat again, you do not have to search much to know the difference between a curse and warfare. You only need to shut the doors that are kept open to the devil to enter (like not knowing the Word of God and the wrong teachings) and therefore take what is yours in Christ.

What is the way to break a curse? Knowledge

You do not need to break any curse because it is already broken just have faith in Jesus who became a curse for you to redeem you. Shut the door to the devil and start talking and confessing with your mouth:” I am free from any curse because Jesus took it all on my behalf, therefore Satan, I stop you from staying in my life in the name of Jesus”.

Now, you do not need anyone to pray for you or to pray any specific prayer nor to repent for the sins of your ancestors. You are now responsible for yourself. If you are doing something wrong or committing a sin in a careless way then you must stop because this gives a place to the devil in your life. Remember: no curse comes without reason so shed the light on this through the Word of God and close this gap immediately.

The most important thing is to know who you are and what is yours in Christ. Know and confess that you are blessed.

If you are suffering from any type of a disease, read and learn about the divine healing. I recommend you read “The Authority of the Believer”. You can find it on our website in the books section.

Conclusion:

Curses come upon the believer:

  1. When he believes that it will happen due to wrong teaching about curses (Wrong knowledge)
  2. When he doesn’t know what Christ did for him (Lack of Knowledge)
  3. When he does not apply the proper knowledge and does not exercise his authority.

How to shut the door to the devil?

It happens through two ways mentioned in Ephesians 4:21-32: Do not give place to the devil.

The first way: Renewing your mind with biblical knowledge

Replace the unbiblical way of thinking with the correct teaching and that starts by reading the Word of God through the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Read correct teachings like the ones we have on our website because it contains all the teachings regarding health, money, the correct way to pray… then you will know what you have in Christ from rights and make way for a correct biblical way of thinking.

The second way: The crucifixion of the flesh

This means to say “no” to the flesh which becomes easy after the renewal of your mind.

Questions asked by many:

  • If I am the cause of the devil’s entry into my life, I cannot and no one can close the door, for there is no one without sin?

The solution is to quickly repent for any sin that your conscience blames you on it. Do not postpone it but repent immediately. Keep your heart soft by having a sensitive conscience. This will always keep you under the shelter of the Most High. I do not mean repentance for no reason, because it is dangerous and it will make you guilty towards yourself all the time which will keep you away from God. You are the righteousness of God and blameless in front of Him even when you do wrong. You have to understand the righteousness of God.

  • Why pray while God knows what I want? Why not do it to for us without prayer?

God will not do anything without your permission because you are the master of the earth so he is waiting for you to allow him to intervene in the matter.

  • Why does not God stop evil on earth?

Because Satan (not God) is the ruler of this world and the world is placed in the hands of Satan. But because the earth was given to the sons of Adam (not God) so we are the ones to allow God to intervene through our prayers and spoken words. So you are the light of the world. You will allow God to enter the earth and this is called” intercession” but how? God was searching for a man to intercede (i.e. to let God enter the earth) so as not to blemish the earth, Isaiah 59:16:” He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him”. This happened through Jesus.

Man was also looking for a man to intercede (allows entry to God) and mediate between God and man Job 9:33:” If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together.” This happened through Jesus.

But this happened through Jesus, who had to fulfil these conditions in order to perform his role successfully and formally:

  1. To be the Son of God
  2. To be in the flesh
  3. To be on the Earth

In order for the intercession to keep going because Jesus is now in heaven at the right hand of the Father and not on earth it has to be done through you having all these conditions:

  1. You are the Son of God
  2. You are in a body of Christ
  3. You are on earth now

Yes, Jesus lives at all times to intercede for you on the right hand of the Father, but this is done only through his body on Earth and you are a member of this body. So one of the benefits of praying in tongues is that you pray what you do not know with your mind and you pray accurately, in details and you intercede. Romans 8:26-27:“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness (Our weakness in the verse is “not knowing what to say” in prayer). We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans (in Greek means you cannot express it in your own language). 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

And because you receive what you pray for, whether right or wrong, like the people of Israel who prayed wrongly but it was given to them because they were the ones who allowed it and want it to happen. They prayed for a king which was not the will of God for them. So when you pray in tongues, you pray in a very correct and accurate way… (Read more about praying in tongues on our website).

Start taking what is yours in Christ because the blessings will not just fall on you but it is you who have to take it. You are blessed by every spiritual blessing in the spiritual realm served to you by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:3-3:”Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ”.

Note that it the past tense “blessed us” which is exactly what happened with the people of God in the Old Testament.

Deuteronomy 9:23:” and when the Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea, he said, “Go up and take possession of the land I have given you (in the past tense).”

Since God says in the bible, “Let the blessings of Abraham be upon us, the believer now.” It is our right now. You are blessed (in the past tense), it exists now in the spiritual realm.  Jesus bought it for you. You are the one who has to call it (the blessings) from the spiritual realm (heavens) to the physical realm (the material world we live in) by your faith.

God will not do this on your behalf since He needs a tongue of a man on Earth which is your own words. This reminds me of the water vapour that surrounds you in the air now, which it will not appear to you by sight except by interference from you, by bringing a cool surface, this vapour, which was present all the time(in the past), is condensed so you will then see it.

Do you see the spiritual, psychological and physical blessings of the Old Testament? They were wonderful, isn’t it? Well, they are your right now because you are the heir of Abraham’s blessings, but also you are now in a better covenant with better promises. Hebrews 8:6:” But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises”.

If the Old covenant was wonderful, this new one is much more in which there is healing, prosperity and protection.

The one who guarantees you the fulfilment of the promises of this covenant is Jesus because it cost him his life, his blood covers and ensures all the promises that are in the book of this covenant.

Same as someone who swears or says in colloquial language, “I swear by my life I will do it …”.Jesus did that and the truth is that He will not do it again because He has already done it 2000 years ago.

1 Corinthians 2:9: “However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him”.

This verse is for us while we are here on earth, not in heaven. That’s what the verse says because you are now seated at the right hand of God in the heavenly realms far above all rule and authority, power and dominion (Ephesians 1:20-21 and Ephesians 2:6) And you are here on earth so you are the liaison between heaven and earth.

Jesus Christ is the head in heaven and we are His body on earth. We live according to the laws, principles and supplies of heaven while we are here on earth.

God needs a body to reach the earth and work in it because without it God cannot do anything on earth. For this reason, the bible says in Hebrew 10:5: “Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me”. (The body of Jesus Christ) without Him, Jesus could not do all this for us. This is the body of the believer; this is your body. Also, Satan cannot work on earth without a body. Therefore, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God and declare with your mouth (I am a Spiritual Species) today, I control my flesh (the body I’m living in) and using it as an instrument of righteousness today and every day.

Refuse to live less than what Jesus Christ did for you and enjoy your inheritance in Christ. And when you live and walk by this truth, you will find yourself living here on earth without being weary but in control and a conqueror over your circumstances.

If you ask a king to stop his governance whom he dominates, he will directly reject to do that. Is not that right?

The same for you as a believer ( who lives by faith), when you take your rights in Jesus Christ you will no longer suffer defeat in your situations or problems because you will always be a conqueror in Jesus Name, and you will find that the devil is the one suffering from you. Instead of you fleeing from the devil, he will flee from you because he is darkness, and you are light, and you walk in the light of the Word, and light affects darkness, and not vice versa.

And you will find that the reason that makes you want to go to heaven is your longing to see the Lord and not because you are fleeing from this land and from hardship – As many teaches as though it is the land of misery and hardship – but it is the land of victory, increase and advancement only by Jesus.

Rise and possess the land which God has given to you. Do not wait to do that.
