The Word Of A King

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (Revelation 1:6).

The Bible says Jesus has made us kings and priests unto our God and His Father. This is not a promise, but a statement of fact, a present-hour reality. It’s imperative you understand that you’re not ordinary; you’re a king and a priest. Even if the circumstances of your life suggest otherwise, the Word of God still holds true.

When God looks at you, He sees a king, and one striking attribute of kings is they don’t beg; they make decrees. No wonder the Bible says you shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you (Job 22:28). As a king, it’s your responsibility to make the circumstances of your life subservient to God’s Word. When God created the first man Adam, He made him a king. That was why He gave him dominion over every other creation (Genesis 1:28). Therefore, refuse to stoop or cower before any situation, for you’ve been elevated to the place of dominion.

Being conscious of your kingly status will positively influence your faith attitude in prayer. The reason some people’s prayers are ineffective is the beggarly nature of the prayers. They haven’t realized that they’re kings, and kings don’t beg. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says, “Where the word of a king is, there is power….”

Jesus didn’t say “you shall have whatsoever you beg the Lord for;” He said, “you shall have what you say” (Mark 11:23). Refuse to be harassed and beleaguered by the problems and negative influences of this world; let the Word build and train you in the things of the Spirit. Start living up to your name; come into your position as a king and start decreeing the changes you want to see in your life.

Confession

I’m reigning in life as a king! The circumstances of life are subject to me because I have the dominion of Christ. I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities, powers, might, and dominions, for I’ve been elevated to the place of authority.
