“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” (Ephesians 2:4-5).
Think about it. God loved you when you didn’t know Him. Even when we were dead in sins, and rejected Him, He loved us. No wonder the Bible says in Romans 8:32: “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Think about it! If God loved you with such an enduring and everlasting love, ever before you embraced Him as Lord over your life, much more now that you’ve come to Him and are identified with Him?
The Bible says “…the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends; and you are my friends…” (John 15:13-14 TLB). This is so touching! The Lord Jesus calls us His friends. His death on the Cross is more than enough demonstration of His love. His death was the sacrifice that brought us into fellowship with God, Hallelujah!
Even if you don’t know any other thing, you ought to know today that God loves you, and He’s pleased with you! He delights in you exceedingly, and rejoices over you with singing. If you were the only one on the face of the earth, Jesus would still have come to die for you. David also had this revelation of God’s infinite love when he said, “Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand (Psalm 20:6).
God has done everything to put you over and make sure all is right and well with you, because of His great love for you. He would pull down any wall, and shake the earth and the heavens for your sake.
He didn’t come to save us because we were many. No! It’s because of His love. You’re object of His love; the personality of His deepest affection, the apple of His eyes, and His treasure of inestimable value. Be conscious of this truth today, that God loves you more than you can possible imagine.
