\u201cAnd he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth\u201d<\/em> (Luke 12:15<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bible admonishes us not to think like ordinary men, who spend all their lives chasing after uncertain riches. Most of them go after it so they can be accepted in society while some others just want to hoard it for the \u201crainy day.\u201d That\u2019s not the kind of life God has called you to as a Christian.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Word of God shows us that a man\u2019s life doesn\u2019t consist in the abundance of his possessions. Life isn\u2019t about material things, or the money you possess; it\u2019s more about the victory inside you! It\u2019s about your response to circumstances, and your ability to control the forces of nature, while maintaining a relationship with your heavenly Father that the world can\u2019t influence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus understood this, which was why He lived a victorious, joyous, and successful life twenty-four hours a day. When He walked the earth, He lived as a master over everything. Though He didn\u2019t live in a palace like Caesar, or extravagantly arrayed himself like Herod, He definitely wasn\u2019t a pauper and never behaved like one. He was princely in every way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t allow life\u2019s circumstances pressurize you to the point where you worry and fret over your life. Learn to cast all your cares upon the Lord and live in absolute rest. Refuse to worry about what to eat, what to wear, how to get the money you need for that business or the kid\u2019s school fees! Trust the Lord to make His Word good in your life, for He has said \u201c…seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the <\/em>kingdom<\/em> of <\/em>God<\/em>; and all these things shall be added unto you\u201d<\/em> (Luke 12:29-31<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul also reiterated this in Philippians 4:6<\/a>: \u201cBe careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. <\/em>Learning to live above the cares of this life will place you on a platform of perpetual victory, prosperity, and joy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prayer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Father, I thank you for your love and faithfulness to me. Thank you for the divine life you\u2019ve freely given me. I live daily in joy and peace knowing that I have Zoe which is the life above sickness, defeat, and poverty. I refuse to allow anything be a source of worry to me in Jesus\u2019 Name. Amen<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
