\u201cFor we walk by faith and not by sight\u201d<\/em> 2 Corinthians 5:7<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Christianity is a walk of faith. Faith is the lifestyle of the believer. This is why all through the New Testament, with particular reference to the Epistles, there\u2019s not a single place where the Christian is asked to have faith. Rather, the scriptures let us know that we already have faith as Christians: \u201c\u2026according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith<\/em>\u201d Romans 12:3<\/a>. God wouldn\u2019t ask us to walk by faith if we didn\u2019t already have faith.<\/p>\n

A man can either walk by faith or by his senses. The Bible says, \u201cThey which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God\u201d <\/em>Romans 9:8<\/a>. The children of the flesh are those who are ruled by their senses. Instead of walking by faith, they walk by sensory perceptions. What does it mean to walk by sensory perceptions? It simply means to walk by your senses\u2014what you can see, hear or touch.<\/p>\n

Man is a spirit who has a soul and lives in a body. 2 Corinthians 5:6<\/a> says, \u201cTherefore we are always confident knowing that whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord.\u201d<\/em> Your body is not you; it\u2019s the place of your abode while you\u2019re here on earth. That\u2019s why the Bible says, \u201c\u2026we are absent from the Lord\u201d<\/em> because we\u2019re not in Heaven but here on earth. We don\u2019t behold the Lord face to face every hour the way people in Heaven do. So how do we know He\u2019s with us? He has told us in His Word that He\u2019s with us always Matthew 28:20<\/a>. Therefore, we don\u2019t have to wait to feel His presence because whether or not we feel it, He\u2019s there with us.<\/p>\n

Have you ever felt forsaken of God? Some people feel that way and say \u201cOh I don\u2019t feel the presence of God anymore.\u201d They are moved by their feelings, instead of relying on the Word of God.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t live your life based on how you feel\u2014your senses; live by faith. Don\u2019t say, \u201cI have a headache,\u201d because you feel some discomfort in your head; refuse to accept and endorse such information! Instead, say \u201cThough I feel a headache, I refuse to accommodate it, for I\u2019m the healed of the Lord!\u201d Do the same for your finances; don\u2019t say, \u201cI\u2019m broke\u201d just because there\u2019s no money in your pocket or bank account. Instead, say, \u201cI refuse to lack because I\u2019m a child of God, and a joint heir with Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Father, thank you for revealing to me the integrity of your Word. Though I may not be able to feel it with my senses, I always trust it to do exactly what it says. Thank you for the glorious life of victory I\u2019ve been called into, as a result of living by faith in your Word, in Jesus\u2019 Name. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n
