“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:21).
Our spiritual promotions are based on our triumphs of faith. God watches to see us overcome every challenge that we face because He’s given us the power to do so.
Your level of spiritual maturity determines the kind of relationship you’ll have with the Lord. Let me explain what I mean with this illustration: When you were a baby, your parents did everything for you. They fed you, bathed you and changed your clothes. But they stopped doing all these for you at a particular stage in your life. This wasn’t because they loved you less, but because you had come of age, and as such, you were expected to be more responsible for your life.
In the same way, there’s a stage in your Christian walk where God isn’t at all perturbed when you’re faced with unpleasant situations. In fact, He’s actually happy to see you face challenges because He knows you can change any situation with the power He gave you. In addition, you’re promoted spiritually each time you put the Word to work and change negative or hopeless situations.
It doesn’t matter that the doctors may have diagnosed you with an incurable or terminal disease; if you’re born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, God isn’t at all perturbed about your situation. He’s actually waiting for you to change things, for you can. Just keep talking your healing; keep bombarding that sickness or disease with the Word! Maybe you were told you couldn’t have children of your own; God is waiting for you to reverse the situation. Or maybe it’s been five years since you graduated from University, and you’re still trying to get a job, or start up your own business; God wants you to change that situation also.
You need to realize that you’ve come of age; you’ve arrived in the place where God wants to see you change whatever negative or hopeless situation you’re confronted with: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for granting me the power to change negative and hopeless situations. That power is working in me mightily, and I declare that the circumstances and situations of my life are in sync with your will and purpose for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
