Jesus the Son of God … and how he served as Jesus, the Son of man
Many of the sons and daughters of God do not understand this matter, and because it is a very important question, not only for the believers but for the servants of the Lord, so after your study of this topic you will understand how Jesus used to perform miracles, and from this knowledge you will be able to perform those miracles as well.
I found many believers interpreting the verses in a wrong way and build incorrect concepts because they do not understand the verses and they find them problematic, all because of the lack of understanding the verses.
for example:
When Jesus said that he “does not know the time of the Day of Resurrection.”
Jesus did not need to pray and was only praying to teach us this.
Jesus was tolerating what happened on the cross because he was the Son of God, and only showed pain before people … etc.
Of course, this is all wrong and not biblical, even if it looks outwardly straight, but it is not correct.
And if it is true, as many preach, then this means two serious issues, and of course they are not true:
- That Jesus was a hypocrite (and this shows the opposite of what he was in fact) God forbid!!! Jesus meant what he was saying and what he was doing, and he was doing it because he lived it.
- The Holy Spirit also lies because he goes along with this lie in his narration of the events written by the men of God who are led by him … This is also impossible.
One of the basic biblical principles is that every believer must understand that in order for the Lord Jesus to accomplish the redemption and the salvation in a correct and solemn manner, he must have been a “person” in the full meaning of the word, but without sin, and to understand more about the subject, you can read the article “God lease on Earth”.
Jesus is 100% God and 100% human.
In order for Jesus to be entitled to redeem us, he had to go down to our level in our humanity and become like a human being and give up on walking with his divinity even though he is God who appears in the flesh.
An analogy:
This is exactly the same as a president (or mayor) of a country or state who decides to descend disguised among his people, while it is not known how he looks like among his people, and also decides to walk without guards and without exercising his authority. Notice that he is still the president and he has not told anyone about his rank, but he chose to behave so, as any ordinary person, so he will need to wait like everybody, and spend more time in order to finish his task, even if it requires to stand in lane like anybody else, and no one will give him any priority … and because he chose that, he will not stand before everyone saying: I am the president of this country. You must give me permission to do my task before all of you … Rather; he chose to conduct himself without exercising his authority.
Also, this is similar to a person who has an electronic computer that he can use to solve complex arithmetic problems, but he chooses to calculate those problems by himself, and he begins the calculations mentally having only a pen and a paper. Does this mean that he does not own the computer? Of course he owns it, but he has chosen not to use it.
Here is the verse that explains this, and you will find my comment in parentheses:
Philippians 2:5-8 -:”(5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (6) Who, being in the form of God (that is, God is incarnated), thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (7) But made himself of no reputation (that is, he abandoned his behavior with divinity even though he is God), and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
Jesus did this abandonment voluntarily, and gave up the behavior with his divinity even though he is the Son of God;
In order for him to become exactly equal to us and to become no more than anyone else, and to be distinguished by not having committed any sin, by this he was able to redeem us.
If he was superior to man in power or in his kind, then he would be unjust to redeem and save people because he is not equal to them and he is not like them, so he cannot take their place.
It was on Jesus that just as he was equal to God – who is God, he also had to be equal to man – and human as well.
1 Timothy 2:5 “(5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Let’s see this applied in Jesus’ life:
- The Lord Jesus in growth and knowledge
Like any human child, he did not know the coming of the wise men because he was a child who needed care.
After that, he grew up and was growing and began to learn the Law in the councils because it was compulsory to do this with every child at that time. But the difference here from any other child is that he began to understand the law in the correct way and not with the misconceptions that prevailed at that time through the scribes and the Pharisees.
He found that the law and prophecies talk about him and that it is about their application and fulfillment, and this is related to what his mother tells about how he was born.
Luke 2:39-40 -: “(39) And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth. (40) And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.”
The Lord Jesus learned obedience from the pain he faced, and often as biblical scholars agree that he was an orphan firstborn from his childhood.
We find in the Bible that Joseph his father disappeared from the events, and the last event mentioned concerning him was when Jesus disappeared and he went back to search for him and found him in the temple Luke 2:41.
We also find when Jesus said to John the disciple on the cross, “ Behold thy mother! ” concerning the Mother Mary … in other words, the father was no longer present, so he certainly did not divorce her, but died.
So Jesus assumed the burden of this house at an early age, including caring for his mother and working to cover their livelihood.
Hebrews 5:8-9 -: “(8) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; (9) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;”
- The Lord Jesus is filled with the Holy Spirit
Because he gave up conducting his divinity even though he was the Son of God, he had to completely depend on the Holy Spirit, and because he chose to become like people, he needed the Holy Spirit because like any person, he needed the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Lord Jesus did not perform any miracle before he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Even the miracle of “turning water into wine – or grape juice” was not before he was filled with the Spirit, but after he was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Of course, he could have performed this miracle before his filling if he wanted to walk using his divinity, but he abandoned conducting this deity and walked like a human being, so the Lord Jesus needed the Holy Spirit.
One day I heard a priest saying: “When Jesus was playing as a child and was creating things…”, this is not true because the Bible says that the first miracle that Jesus did was turn water into wine.
Yes, he was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit, and this is in order to complete the miracle of his birth from a virgin, but as a human being Jesus needed the Holy Spirit.
“Luke 3: 21-22 and Luke 4: 1” (21) Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, (22) ( And the Holy Ghost descended ) in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
“… Luke 4:1” (1) And Jesus ( being full of the Holy Ghost ) returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
This is the report of the Holy Spirit about Jesus, not mine, that after that he came out filled with the Holy Spirit. When he says that he was filled at this moment, so I do believe it, and I believe that it did not happen in the 30 years he lived before, and it was written by the Holy Spirit for us to show us that the Lord Jesus at that moment needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
See the Holy Spirit’s way of describing this point:
Acts 10:38 -: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
In other words, “Jesus the man” who was from a town called Nazareth … He became anointed after he was filled with the Holy Spirit, so he became “the anointed Jesus”, meaning “the Messiah”. This is its Greek meaning.
Jesus did not say the Messiah of Nazareth, but he said Jesus of Nazareth, who was anointed by God and became anointed.
- The Lord Jesus in service, gifts of the Spirit, healing, and casting out demons:
He healed and casted out demons with the help and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Many servants stand here and are not convinced, why? Because this will hold them accountable for their failure to know the word of God.
For example: Many suffer in casting out demons because the demons do not obey them, while this is done with anointed words only for those who know who they are in Christ and know the service of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Once, I was listening to a servant saying that he was casting out evil spirits by striking the flesh of inhabited people.
This is not mentioned in the Bible and it is a mistake, for this is of course an attempt to deal with the spiritual world from the realm of the sight, and this will not produce results even if the evil spirit groans, but it is not affected by anything, but rather exploits the servant’s lack of knowledge of the word and works on this lie to destroy the inhabited human body. I interrupted this servant and did not confront him directly, but began to persuade him in reason, and I said to him: “Jesus did not do this not even once when he used to cast out evil spirits!!! So how do you do this??”
He answered and said: “This was Jesus, and not me…” means he has his excuse.
Of course, you will not find that “smacking the persons inhabited with evil spirits” in any writings of any messenger in the Bible, whether it is Jesus, the disciples, or Paul.
Do you see with me that the lack of knowledge of “how Jesus served” made people believe that this would not happen to them because Jesus walked on earth and exercised his authority as the Son of God and was superior to them…
Whereas he was the Son of God, but he willingly gave up on conducting with the authority of the Son of God in order to become exactly equal to us. So just as he takes out spirits with a word, so we can do the same.
Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to reveal things to him, to show him the secrets of people, and to heal the sick.
The Lord Jesus did not say that he does this by his own power, but by the power of the Father who is in him, and not as some believe that he did not use his divinity to be humble. Indeed, he did not do anything without the Father’s help, because he walked like the Son of man, giving up the use of his deity because he is also the Son of God and God himself.
John 5:19 “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.”
You may not be convinced, although this is what the Bible says; you have to make the Word of God the first and last authority over people’s interpretations, the verse does not need to be clarified more.
Jesus was growing in his ministry, so he said in verses 20-21 of John 5: “(20) For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. (21) For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.”
On one of the occasions, one of the sisters told me: “The Lord Jesus in the story of the bleeding woman in Mark 5 knew who touched him, but he (just acted otherwise in front of the crowd) … as if she was accusing Jesus of lying without intending!!! And He did the same also to test the man’s faith. Jairus, who was with him to heal his daughter!!!
I explained to her that “God does not tempt anyone’s faith,” because he is the giver of faith, and temptation is from the devil.
Second: The Lord did not know who had really touched him, as the book says that he searched and questioned who had touched him.
When this sister learned this teaching, she obtained her miracle, which she did not obtain because of the wrong concept that she believed in.
And the same will happen to you if you knew that what is in you is the Holy Spirit who was in Jesus. This will explain to you another matter before which those who do not know the Word stand in confusion about what the Lord Jesus said about himself about not knowing when the Day of Resurrection will be: Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
Mark says it more clearly: “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
He was not aware of it because he is the Son of God, but because he abandoned the conduct of his divinity, not only in front of people, but also with himself, and he lived all his life on earth in this way.
He gave up 24 hours and 7 days a week from conducting himself with his divinity in order to be able to redeem us in a just manner acceptable to the Father.
John 7:16 “Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.”
John 8:28-29 -: “(28) Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. (29) And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
This does not mean that Jesus’ will was not interfering with it, rather it was involved in doing this, whether miraculous or teaching. If you understand this, you will understand how the miracle is performed through you in your service, as it is performed with the participation of the Holy Spirit within you. And if you reject the Holy Spirit and are not charged (i.e., filled) with sufficient power, the miracle will not occur.
John 8:16 “And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.”
Many believe that they will pray for the sick, and the miracle occurs through that He will let God do the thing and put the servant on one side, and this is the root of the problem of not occurring miracles at the hands of those who believe in them.
The Holy Spirit needs you just as you need Him. If you charge yourself with the Holy Spirit and ignite Him within you, and you can read about this in the article on the “frequent filling with the Holy Spirit” on the web-site, from your fullness people will receive.
When you are filled with the Spirit, you will know “what is the next step in harmony with the Holy Spirit”, and amazing results will happen. The Holy Spirit will not be independent from you, and you will not be able to be independent from Him in order to achieve together what He wants to achieve on earth.
This is how the Lord Jesus walked, with consciousness and awareness of the Holy Spirit in him.
Focus while reading this text and you will discover two very important things that I will mention after reading the text:
John 5: 19-21 -: “(19) Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. (20) For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. (21) For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
1_ Jesus says “…but what he seeth the Father do:” He did not say…“What I saw” (in the past). Rather, he said it through an act of continuity, that is, he sees it while performing the miracle, he sees it in his soul.
2 _ Verse (20) “The Father will also show him greater works,” meaning that he was growing in his service,
This is not a representation or speech in front of people (although he knows everything). Rather, the Lord Jesus meant what he said, and he would have known greater things with the passage of days.
This is what will clarify the verse in John 14:12
(12) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Do you see the reason, because he will go to his father, that is, he will not be here for long, because for you he remained on earth according to John 5: 19-21 He would have known greater things from the Father and would have done them.
- The Lord Jesus in the life of prayer
The Lord Jesus did not pray to teach us to pray; rather he really needed to pray in order to draw his strength from God daily.
He asked his disciples to pray on the day of his delivery and began to pray himself, is this representation or a reality?? Of course a reality.
Then he went 3 times because of the great pain and war that he was facing, and his sweat came down like drops of blood from the great struggle he was through. The struggle is not only the cross, but the most prominent is that he was never separated from the Father and he did not want this because he knew that he had to do this on the cross, and this happened when he said “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
The Passion of the Christ movie by “Mel Gibson” showed us a simple slice of the pain that the Lord Jesus went through, but it was greater than this as well. He used to pray daily as usual, Mark 1:35, Mark 6:46 and Luke 6:12.
Luke 5:15-17 -: “(15) But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. (16) And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed. (17) And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.”
This is mentioned between miracles, as if to say that this is the “key” of Jesus.
Hebrews 5:7 “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;”
- The Lord Jesus in the trials of sin
He was like any person who was tempted in sin, but he did not fall into it, not only in the experiences in the wilderness detailed in the Bible, but also during all periods of his life.
Hebrews 2:17-18 -: “(17) Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. (18) For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Hebrews 4:14-16 -: “(14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (15) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (16) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
There are those who say that thoughts of sin did not come across Jesus thoughts. This is a religious thought, although it seems straight, but it is not at all biblical. Because the Bible says that it He was tempted in everything like us, the Word does not contain double meanings, the meaning is clear.
So Jesus was tempted in everything, with all the types and forms of sin, and in all kinds of stress, sorrow and distress, but he did not fall into it.
- The Lord Jesus in the crucifixion and in the abyss
Jesus truly suffered the pain of the cross without any hidden power to help him. He faced it as a human being to take your place and my place and did not face it with the abilities of the Son of God, otherwise he is not equal to man and this is not fair and heaven will not accept this as well. He chose to behave as a person and gave up on facing these sufferings as the Son of God, even though he is the Son of God.
Unfortunately, due to a lot of ignorance in the word, or some servants avoided explaining the Word in a pure way without deletion, which may provoke the anger of critics who are always present. As a result of this ignorance, many people say: “Because he was the Son of God, He was bearing all that…”. Of course it is not correct. Yes, he is the Son of God and God appears in the flesh, but he chose to behave like a human being since he decided to incarnate and he is still the Son of God and God Himself is man.
If it was what some say, “Jesus took an invisible force to face these pains … as if they were saying that Jesus represented pain, tears and blood … and this is impossible.”
So if this was true, the Father would not have sent an angel to strengthen him.
Jesus was literally and realistically suffering all these pains as a human being, and he is the Son of God, but he has abandoned behavior with this strength to be equal to us.
Many believers have grown up to believe the opposite, and this is due to the lack of clarity of this point in the teachings because many fear others and criticism, while if they become to know the correct biblical truth, their lives will change.
All what Jesus felt in the sufferings he faced, the cross and all these events – he truly felt it without the hidden help of the Father, but he abandoned the conduct of his divinity while he was still the Son of God, walked in his humanity and tasted all of that in instead of you and I.
- Jesus died of all kinds deaths
1_Spiritual death:
When the Father left him and hided his face from him, this is the spiritual death that every unborn human being had, separated from God.
2_ Physical death:
Physical death i.e. the body of the Lord Jesus died on the cross.
3_ eternal death:
From that moment Jesus descended into the abyss, and because he was made a sin, he descended to the place of the sinners in the abyss, and all that without the Father or the Holy Spirit because he left him since he was on earth on the cross.
And he descended into the abyss and defeated the Satan, took the key of the abyss, carried away captivity and released the souls of the believers who were locked up in a place called “Abraham’s bosom.” He took from Satan the key of death and annihilated with death the Satan, who had the power to death. This is the eternal death that anyone should have tasted, so He took it on our behalf.
Then God raised him in his second birth. Before the resurrection Jesus was his only son, but after the resurrection he became to have many brothers and he is the leader over us and he is the firstborn. Who are the brothers and sisters?? It is you and I.
Romans 8:29 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
What the Lord Jesus said about you and me is very great:
You are one with the Father, John 17:11 the Bible says:
“(11) And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.” (This is not only for the apostles, but for us as well)
Read with me the verses from 20 to 23:
“(20) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. (22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (23) I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
What does he mean by saying: “…that they may be one, even as we are one:…” for it does not mean here unity in the body of Christ and it is undoubtedly important, but here he does not talk about it as some readers think. Here it means that they are “one with You” Read it well without the impressions of the others, and you will find it saying simply that.
God made us like Him; Jesus gave us the same glory that He has. We no longer lack the glory of God, we are glorified.
Romans 8:30 “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
Do you notice the same as I did that it happened in the past!!! It is done.
This means that those who lack the glory of God are not on the list of those who have accepted Jesus, because you have accepted Jesus as the Savior of your life, this means that you do not lack the glory of God, so do not pray all sinned and lack the glory of God, this is diminishing of the salvation of Jesus for you.
You can now serve just like Jesus, because you are born of God and in you the life of God, even if you are filled with the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will dwell in you. Do not say that you are an ordinary person, but rather chose to walk the deity that you have become to be, because of what Jesus did and because you are born of God.
Jesus chose to walk in his humanity for a while in order to redeem us, but now he has made his divinity, that is, his divinity in the sons and daughters of God. Colossians 2:9-10 -: [Amplified Bible (AMP)] “(9) For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. (10) And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power].”
Another translation [i.e. King James Version (KJV)] says: He is filled with all the fullness of the Godhead (the deity), and you are also full because you are in Him and God with all his fullness dwells in you….
You are not an ordinary person, Satan will try to convince you of that, but you have become a divine personality that the Holy Spirit dwells in you, who if you realize by meditating that he is in you and repeating this loudly and behaving in this sense and praying in tongues, you will begin to experience the hand of God who heals through you and spirits come out with one word and you can also raise the dead, as Jesus did and greater as well.
John 14:10-13 -: “(10) Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (11) Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. (12) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (13) And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
And now, the fact that Jesus chose and walked and lived on earth as a human being and at the same time he is the Son of God, and we have seen him heal and raise the dead and cast out evil spirits with a word and that he took the Holy Spirit without limits, then this is possible for you and for me. Just as God the Father sent Jesus His Son and gave him the Holy Spirit without limits.
John 3:34-35 -: “(34) For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. (35) The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.”
This is how we are, Jesus has sent us exactly as the Father sent him. And this means that the Holy Spirit is given to us without limits.
John 17:18 “As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.”
And we find the same also in the letters:
Titus 3:5-6 -: “(5) …by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” (6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Ephesians 3:19 “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
Now that you understand how Jesus served and that what you saw is Jesus who relied on the Holy Spirit, you can do this as well, live as the Lord Jesus wants you to live, and at the level he wants for you. If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, this means that God Himself dwells within you, so you can do His works.
