And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).
Everyone is essentially the character of his or her thoughts and that explains why people differ in their behaviour. According to Proverbs 23:7, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. In other words, you’re not different from the way you think. Through months and years of continuously thinking in a certain way, your mind becomes programmed in that direction, and that’s the direction your life will go.
The good news however is, even if a person has been negatively programmed as a result of thinking wrongly, his mind can be renewed through the Word. Our opening scripture, according to The New Living Translation says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think….”
The Word of God can reprogram your life and give you a new mindset. As you meditate on the Word, there’s a renewing process going on—your mind is being re-programmed, and you’re given a new mindset–the mindset of the righteous. Once your mind is renewed through God’s Word, you begin to think success, progress, victory and prosperity. You’ll begin to talk differently, and act in line with your confessions of faith.
You were born of the Word of God, hence that’s the only thing that can energize you for success, position you for success and sustain you in the good life. Allow the Word of God dwell in you richly, and meditate on it day and night. That way, not only will the way you think and talk change, your life will be programmed for greatness and you’ll move from one level of glory to another.
Confession
Dear Father, your Word is my life and in it do I meditate day and night! My spirit is fertile ground for your Word, and through your Word that has come to me today, my mind is being renewed; I’m stirred and positioned for the transcendent life of joy, peace, prosperity, health and victory in Christ!
