This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).
The Amplified version of Joshua 1:8 says: “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe {and} do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely {and} have good success.” Notice it didn’t say God shall make your way prosperous, but that you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely in the affairs of life and have good success. But for this to happen, you must meditate.
So what are you supposed to meditate on? The book of the Law! Are you supposed to meditate on Genesis to Revelation? Emphatically no. The subject of your meditation should be that word that is consistent with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Meditating on anything else that’s not consistent with the gospel will not produce lasting results.
Both the Old and New Testaments are replete with words which are consistent with the new creation realities. For example, Isaiah said, “No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17), and this is consistent with what Jesus said in Luke 10:19: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” That means what Isaiah said belongs to the Church and we can meditate on that today as we would the words of Jesus in Luke 10:19.
When you meditate on God’s Word often, apart from you having good success, you’ll find yourself dealing wisely in the affairs of life and satan will find it difficult to carry out his nefarious acts in your life. In other words, the wisdom of God will function in you so much that when you make decisions or take actions on something, it’ll be the right one.

Confession
God’s Word is working in me and producing results in my life. Unbelief and fear are not part of my life. As I meditate on God’s Word today, the forces of success, prosperity and divine health are unleashed in my life. Hallelujah.
