“So, friends, we can now–without hesitation–walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body” (Hebrews 10:19 MSG).
The moment you received Jesus Christ into your heart, you were given the rare privilege of entering “the Holy Place,” the very presence of God. You’ve been granted unrestricted access to the Father! You can now talk to Him and fellowship with Him directly.
Back in the Old Testament, no one could enter “the Holy Place” except the high priest, and he could only do so once a year. But today, you and I can boldly enter “the Holy Place” through faith: “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh” (Hebrews 10:19-20).
You don’t need to depend on any man to pray for you, or go into the presence of God on your behalf. You can just walk right into the holy of holies by yourself and make your request known to the Father: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
Hebrews 10:22 says, “Let us go right in to God himself, with true hearts fully trusting him to receive us because we have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean and because our bodies have been washed with pure water” (TLB). This means that you don’t have to be afraid or feel condemned anymore. When you pray, pray as a king! Don’t beg. Your heavenly Father delights in your prayers (Proverbs 15:8). He loves to hear and answer your prayers: “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers…” (1 Peter 3:12). No wonder He gave you unrestricted access to His throne room! Hallelujah.
Prayer
Father, I thank you for the great privilege you’ve given me to have unhindered and unrestricted access to your throne of grace. I rejoice in you today, knowing that you’ve covered me with your love and righteousness, and caused me to stand before you free, holy, unblameable and unreproveable in your sight, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
