Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets (Amos 3:7).
If you read this verse in some newer translations of the Bible, you’d discover it says “The Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secrets to His servants the prophets.” In other words, He reveals His plans to His servants. For instance, at the beginning of every year, the Lord tells us through our man of God what He plans to do for us, with us, and through us during the year so we can have faith for them and see to it that those words of blessings are fulfilled in our lives.
Thus, the role of a man of God in your life can’t be overemphasized. The man of God is one to inspire faith in you by speaking to you the Word of God, which already is producing results in his life. The Bible says, “Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation” (Hebrews 13:7). As the man of God shares the Word with you, he gives you insights into God’s plans for your life.
In 2009, God said to us through our man of God, Pastor Chris, that it’s the year of the seven-fold increase. What a blessing; what a wonderful privilege it is to have insights into God’s plans for us for the year. It’s not too late to have the blessings of that word fulfilled in your life. Get the tapes and Cds of the message and listen to it again and again. Make up your mind to key in today into that word so that you can receive all that God has predetermined for you.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for giving me the privilege of having a man of God who I can follow and receive blessings from you. I pray for my man of God today that you would increase him in scope and in influence because I know that as he increases, I increase also, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
