And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).
To walk in God’s perfect will for your life, the first thing you require is the knowledge of God’s Word. God’s Word is His will expressed, thus without accurate knowledge of the Word, no one can really understand God’s perfect will. See God’s Word gives you direction and helps you understand God’s perfect will. And that’s why you need to know the Word which the scripture says is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.
There’re different ways you can know God’s will and walk in it. Firstly is through the Word. The Spirit of God, through the apostle Paul said in Galatians 5:16: “… Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Walking in the spirit actually means walking in the light of God’s Word. God’s will for your life can be a lot of times different from what your feelings or physical senses tell you, and what other human beings tell you. The only way you can judge all things according to God’s will is by the Word.
Then, secondly, praying in tongues will be of immense benefit to you if you want to walk in God’s will. If you pray in tongues consistently and continually, your spirit will be attuned to the spirit of God! Praying in tongues consistently conditions your spirit to be in sync with the Holy Ghost, and that way, you’re able to see clearly into the realm of the spirit and decipher the steps God wants you to take and the direction He wants you to go.
Condition your spirit today through prayer and the study of the Word, and it will be easy for you to pick the finest signals from God’s realm and walk in His perfect will. Remember, functioning in God’s will isn’t only beneficial as a key you need to enjoy the immense benefits of God’s Kingdom, but it’s also a proof of your spiritual maturity.
As we approach the end of the year, I urge you to spend time to study God’s Word and pray fervently in the spirit concerning the coming year. Do this every day for the rest of the year, and surely, the Lord will open your spirit to see and know what steps you must take, and His direction for you in the coming year! You’ll find yourself walking in His perfect will in everything that concerns you in the coming year!

Blessed heavenly Father, I ask that you forever guide my heart and lead my steps in the path of your perfect will for my life, even as I yield completely to the Lordship and tutelage of your Holy Spirit and your Word today, in Jesus Name. Amen.
