What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19).
The opening scripture makes it clear that your body is not yours, it’s owned by God and you’re only the custodian or caretaker; you’re keeping it in trust for the Lord. You belong to the Lord—spirit, soul and body! The Bible says, “we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30). This means the life of Christ is manifested through our bodies. If you’re born again, Christ literally lives in you and expresses Himself through your physical body.
Christ rules, functions and operates in your physical body. This is why sickness, disease, and weakness ought not to thrive in your physical body. Christ lives in you! When you’re conscious of this truth, it’ll be impossible for you to experience any infirmity!
God trust you enough to give you custody of the house where the Holy Spirit lives. He knows if you follow His Word, you’ll be able to exercise absolute control over your body and disallow satan from afflicting it. This shows that you have the right to decide what happens in your body. When this truth dawns on your spirit, health will spring forth in your body and it will be impossible for you to fall sick.
Remember, God has given you custody of your physical body, do Him proud by taking care of it and keeping it out of the reach of the devil and his cohorts. You honour God with your body when you keep it healthy, vibrant and strong through the Word and make it work effectively and efficiently as it should.
Confession
My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, prepared for God’s glory. Therefore, sickness and disease have no place in my body. I refuse to accommodate anything that is not consistent with the purpose for which God fashioned my physical body! My entire framework—the bones of my body, the cells of my blood and every fiber of my physical body is completely inundated with the life of God. Hallelujah.
