“Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever (Psalm 112:1-3).
God desires for His kids to be prosperous and influential, not lacking anything but living in superabundance. Some people have raised arguments based on Solomon’s prayer in Proverbs 30:8-9 where he said, “Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.” They say they want to be average because Solomon prayed to be average.
Well, Solomon wasn’t average. God blessed him with so much that he didn’t have enough room to contain them. In his days as king over Israel, he made silver to be as stones in Jerusalem (1 Kings 10:27). The reason some Christians are not walking in prosperity is because they’ve been taught wrongly, thus, they haven’t accepted the Word as it is.
God said in Isaiah 1:19 (TLB), “If you will only let me help you; if you will only obey, I will make you rich,” meaning that God wants to help but some people don’t let Him. If only you would accept the helping hand He’s extending to you, you’ll experience a miracle in your life and in your finances.
Of course, there are people who don’t care about being rich. Such people should recognize, nevertheless, that as Christians God has made them rich and also given them the ability to make others rich.
Thus, even without financial accumulation or material belongings as it were, God wants such folks to look, think, and talk rich. He doesn’t want them looking sick or beggarly because they’re the King’s kids.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for making me rich! Thank you for putting everything in place to ensure that I walk in superabundance while I’m here on earth. Your Word shows me today that you desire to make me even richer than I am right now. Have your way in me Lord and do according to your good pleasure, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
