Our Gracious And Merciful Heavenly Father!

“The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy” (Psalm 145:8).

Our God is rich in grace and mercy. He’s a gracious God. There’s no mistake too big for Him to forgive; there’s no sin so great that the blood of Jesus can’t cleanse. God’s forgiveness has nothing to do with the magnitude or gravity of your offense. Ephesians 1:7 says, “In whom (Jesus Christ) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace,” letting us know that in Christ Jesus, we have redemption through His blood, and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, not according to how minor or severe our sins are.

Ephesians 2:4-5 says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)”; even when you were deep in sin, God loved you. What a gracious Go He is! Psalm 103:8 also says “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

We serve a gracious and merciful heavenly Father, who is slow to wrath and quick to save and forgive. If you’ve not yet given your heart to Jesus, I urge you to call upon Him right now to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life, and He will hear you and answer you. He’s a gracious and merciful heavenly Father.

Or maybe as a Christian you’ve done some wrong things that has almost dissipated your faith and zeal for spiritual things, the Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. He’s ever willing to take you from where you are to your glorious place in Christ. His forgiveness is available to you even now. 1 John 1:9 says “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

That’s our gracious heavenly Father; He doesn’t encourage you to sin (1 John 2:1, 2), but lets you know that Jesus is your Advocate, hence you have a right of appeal; forgiveness is your birthright as a new creation in Christ.

Prayer

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your great love, grace, mercy and compassion towards me. I thank you for making me a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness, and translated me into the Kingdom of your dear Son, in whom I have redemption through His blood, and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace! Thank you for being to me a gracious and merciful heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
