The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:13).

There’s more to the Person and ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives as believers than what some folks are acquainted with. For some, all they know about the Holy Spirit is that He makes them speak in tongues.

The Holy Spirit is not fire, smoke, wind or a dove; He’s a real person. Learn to fellowship with Him every day; listen to what He says to you and yield your spirit, soul and body to Him. Let Him work through you, talk through you and function through you. He wants you to enjoy rich fellowship with Him everyday.

To enjoy rich fellowship with the Holy Spirit you need to know exactly what He’s come to do in your life. Jesus said “But the comforter (counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the father will send in my name [in my place, to represent me, and act on my behalf], He will teach you all things… (John 14:26 AMP).

These are the blessings that daily fellowship with the Holy Spirit will bring to your life: He’ll teach you, counsel you, help you, defend you, strengthen you and always be there as your standby when your natural strength fails!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit that is with me today! I recognize and give first place to the Holy Spirit whom you’ve sent to be my helper, strengthener, standby, counsellor, intercessor, comforter and advocate, and I receive all the wonderful blessings that accrue from daily fellowship with the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus! Amen.

John 14:16-17: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

1 Corinthians 2:12: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”
